| If you own a car you shouldn't move here. This place is absolute parking hell: For $100 extra per month you may get one of the 12 spaces in the garage that 90 other tenants are waiting to get. The streets around are all metered. Accross the freeway is a permit-only area, but guess what: You can't get a permit because you live one frickin block outside that area. - Sucks big time!On the upside, it's close to just about everything Downtown, so you may not even need a car. I needed my car for work and moved out mainly because of paying on average $80 a month in parking tickets and fees and spending my spare time running around re-parking my car from one street to the other. This place is income-restricted, so it's got the usual mix of low-life scum among the tenants. But quite some decent folks live there too. (Hey, I used to... :-) The fire alarms go off at least once a month in the middle of the night for no reason. Otherwise the noise level is what one would expect in a fairly large apartment building. Not too loud but no total silence either. All in all, it's ok if you're single (the units are really small) without a car and short on cash and want to live close to everything. A.M. |
