Apartment Review for Goose Hollow Plaza - Portland, OR

My year lease is almost up and I am counting down the days until I can get out of here!! I don't even know where to begin.. First off the thing that sticks out most in my mind is the vandalism/dirtiness of the complex. The halls and elevators are hardly EVER clean and ALWAYS have a disgusting odor. I personally can recall on 2 occasions there being vomit in the elevator ALL DAY! Even after myself and other tenants went and told them. It is college housing so you have to expect some noise and what not but some people have almost been evicted for unreasonable noise complaints, and yet our neighbors below us can have their bass up full blast and be smoking so much it comes into our apartment. The parking sucks, don't plan on having guests that often because theyre left with street parking that is hardly ever available and leaves you at risk of getting a ticket. The garage is incredibly cramped, so much so that my compact car can barely fit in one of the parking spots. Oh and usually expect broken glass in the garage as well. And the people that wrote before me are soooo right about that elevator, it is the slowest one I have ever and probably will ever ride on. It sounds petty but living at the top and dealing with it several times a day becomes very frustrating. The last thing is the disposal of garbage. There is one place to throw away your trash CLLLLEEEAARRR at one end of the hallway (not even any on the top 2 floors), it is sooo inconvenient and makes you want to take it down in heaps instead of casually taking it when you leave. I think other tenants must be fed up with that too because there is always trash in the other (far end) hallway due to people not wanting to take it on the other side of the whole f ing complex. Overall you can definitely find something better than this. Pros: Big bedrooms, dishwasher, large bathroom, fairly close to PSU campus. Cons: Dirty, stinky, TINY living rooms, bad maintenance, slow elevators, cramped garage, badly located trash rooms
